DECODING OF GENOME OF A HUMAN AND A MOUSE — AN IMPORTANT STAGE IN MOLECULAR MEDICINE DEVELOPMENT

Historical data about human genome studying recent advances in this problem is given. Problems of classification of egoistic DNA, that copies itself and does not contribute in phenotype; single nucleotide polymorphism and its application in genetic analysis are discussed. Significance of single nucleotide polymorphism analysis in clinical genetics and molecular medicine is demonstrated. Human genome sequencing proves gradual complication of genome structure from yeast to human being.
