TUBERCULOSIS AND AIDS IN CHILDREN

Features of tuberculosis against a background of AIDS in 6 children were studied. All the children were born from HIV-infected mothers, two of which died from tuberculosis. Children born from HIV-infected mothers form risk groups for both AIDS and tuberculosis. Tuberculosis in them is characterized by a generalized disease course. Tuberculosis diagnosed in time can be treated. For the early diagnosis of tuberculosis HIV-infected children must be consulted by phtisiaters.
