PECULIARITIES OF ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE AND RHEUMATIC FEVER COURSE IN PATIENTS OVER 40 YEARS OLD

There are presented investigations of patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) and rheumatic fever (RF) — of a latent clinical course — 40–75 years old (50 patients) and IHD of the same age (30 patients). There are significant changes in lipid metabolism in patients with IHD and RF in comparence with the second group, which means more active atherosclerosis development. More significant lipid peroxide activity and lowering of antioxidation protection leads to the risk of coronary artery injury. Severe coagulation changes to the hyper coagulation side increase possibility for trombogenesis and harder clinics of IHD in patients with RF. Also in patients with IHD and in old patients with RF there are more often ischemic episodes and rhythm disturbance.
