EARLY RESULTS AND LATE COMPLICATION AFTER PALLIATIVE OPERATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH FALLOT’S TETRALOGY

In this article we observe immediate results and late complications after palliative procedures in patients with Fallot’s tetralogy. We found that level of early complications was higher in the group after modified Blalock — Taussig’s shunt than classical Blalock — Taussig’s shunt ( 20 % versus 73,6 %). The level of early complications after «regulatable» shunt was minimal (0,9 %). The highest percent of complication was in the groups with cardiac failure (15,7 %), hypofunction of anastomosis (15,7 %) and shunt trombosis (10,7 %).

We found that 100 days — it is an optimal termin of shunt persistent between two stages of Fallot’s tetralogy correction.
