DARK AND PHOTOINDUCED EFFECTS OF SYNTHETIC PORPHYRINS ON PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA CELLS

It was carried out comparative study of cationic and anionic porphyrins influence on Pseudomonas aeruginosa cells. It was determined that studied tetrapyrrols may depress the growth of antibiotic-resistant P. aeruginosa both in dark conditions and after irradiation. Anionic porphyrins have shown higher activity. Among cationic compounds more expressed suppressing effect free base had and among anionic — metal complex.
