BIOCHEMICAL ASPECTS OF HYPOXIC AFFECTION OF THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM IN PREMATURE NEONATES AT AN EARLY STAGE OF THE NEONATAL PERIOD!–:–>

The author has carried out a clinico-paraclinical examination of premature neonates at an early stage of the neonatal period that developed under conditions of chronic intrauterine hypoxia. The negative factors of pregnancy and pathological changes of the placenta, contributing to the development of the hypoxic-ischemic affections of the central nervous system in prematurely born babies, have been established. Marked changes of the processes of cellular metabolism have been demonstrated, the latter being a leading mechanism in the pathogenesis of posthypoxic encephalopathy in this group of infants.
