THE ROLE OF UROGENITAL INFECTIONS IN CERVICAL PATHOLOGY IN HIV-INFECTED WOMEN

We examined 88 HIV-infected women. 128,4 % had urogenital diseases. Among them human papillomavirus infection, trichomoniasis, candidosis were met more often.

59,1 % of women with urogenital diseases had cervical abnormalities. Every third HIV-positive woman had expressed immunodeficiency (decrease of CD4+ lymphocytes count).

On the basis of these researches one can make a conclusion that urogenital infections play a role in cervical pathology development in HIV-infection progressing.
