FEATURES OF DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF COMBINED BRAIN INJURY

The features of diagnosis and treatment of patients with a combined craniocerebral injury, based on the analysis of 462 cases, are described (the brain concussion — 256, the brain contusion — 172, the contusion with brain compression — 34). A jaw-facial trauma was observed in 198, skeletal — in 170, thoracic — in 110, vertebral — in 48, abdominal — in 28 patients. The choise of tactic of treatment depends on the most severe damage. Reanimatologists, surgeons, traumatologists, neurosurgeons must be involved in diagnosis and treatment. The patients with a combined craniocerebral injury must be hospitalized in a multiprofile hospital.
