The analysis of the results of the treatment of 104 patients with wounds of heart and pericardium was made. The problems of diagnosis and treatment of wounds of heart and pericardium are considered. Success of treatment of wounds of heart and pericardium depends on duration of a period from the moment of trauma to the beginning of rendering of specialized surgical care. Diagnostic measures in suspicion at wounds of heart and pericardium must be minimal. Determination of wounds of heart and pericardium, and sometimes — suspicion at such wounds is an indication to emergency surgical operation. All heart wounds should be sutured with obligatory drainage of pericardium.
