RESULTS OF RADIAL SCLEROTOMY APPLICATION IN NORMAL PRESSURE GLAUCOMA PATIENTS

The results of study of radial sclerotomy influence on the IOP level, visual functions and parameters of hydrodynamics in 23 normal pressure glaucoma patients (32 eyes) are submitted.

As a result of operative intervention the decrease of IOP in 90.6 % of the patients was marked, hydrodynamics parameters improved: C increased and C/P0 normalized. The achieved IOP level remained stable during 12 months. During that time the visual acuity and ecscavation of disc were constant in relation to the initial level and visual field increased. Thus the operation results in glaucoma stabilization.
