The purpose of the present work was to study the influence of oxytocin’s neuropeptide on proliferation processes in pancreatic islands in normal and diabetic rats by various ways (central — intracerebroventricular and peripheral — intraperitoneal). It was established that repeated introduction of oxytocin (Ox) stimulates proliferation processes of incretory cells of a pancreas. In this case neuropeptide’s effects depend on the way of neurohormone introduction and the condition of experimental animals.
