INFLUENCE OF HYPOSALIVATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF EXPERIMENTAL STOMATITIS IN RATS

The simulation of stomatitis with the help of processing of the oral cavity mucosa (OCM) by the suspension of bee poison showed that severity of pathologic processes is aggravated by hyposalivation. OCM condition was evaluated according to the level of the biochemical markers of inflammation: elastase activity and malonic dialdehyde concentration. Functional insufficiency of the salivary glands causes lipid peroxidation activation and antioxidant protection level decrease.
