THE APPLICATION OF OZONETHERAPY IN COMPLEX TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH STABLE ANGINA PECTORIS

The efficiency of ozonetherapy (OT) in complex treatment of patients with stable angina pectoris was studied according to clinical symptoms and 24-hour ECG monitoring. It was shown that addition of OT to the treatment program positively influences on the disease course, leading to significant antianginal effect. The 24-hour quantity and severity of myocardial ischemia events were significantly lower in the group of patients who had underwent ozonetherapy, in comparison with the control group. The use of OT improves the myocardial oxygen supplement and increases the economical effectiveness of treatment, lowering the need in pharmaceutical agents necessary for adequate angina control.
