CHANGES OF RECEPTOR FUNCTION OF THE NEUTROPHILIC GRANULOCYTES IN PATIENTS WITH SEVERE BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

The results of investigation has shown an increase in the number of neutrophils with adhesive and cytotoxic properties as well as cells expressing receptors to IL-2. The reduction of neutrophil level expressing receptors of readiness to apoptosis is revealed. These changes were more expressed in patients who received systemic glucocorticoids constantly. Using of polyoxidonium in these patients have shown immunomodulatory effect on the neutrophilic granulocytes, positive influence on a clinical course of bronchial asthma and the reduction of frequency of airway infections.
