SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF EQUINO-PLANO-VALGUS FOOT DEFORMITY IN SPASTIC CEREBRAL PALSY

New methods of less traumatic heel cord lengthening and corrective calcaneal osteotomy with autogenous bone grafting in the treatment of spastic equino-plano-valgus foot deformity were studied. To evaluate the arch of foot new roentgenometric methods were invented. Clinical trial with 30 patients with spastic diplegia in the age of 6–10 showed that these surgical methods in combination with adequate ortheses providing and rehabilitation treatment in postoperative period were effective in this age of patients.
