PERINATAL OUTCOMES OF MULTIPLE GESTATIONS

Studying and clinical estimation of perinatal outcomes of 78 cases multiple gestations in women, which were delivered in the Kiev regional center of mother and newborn health-care in 2000–2003 were carried out. The newborns with low body-weight in multiple pregnancy was met 6 times more often, intrauterine restriction was revealed in 9 %, and intra-uterine dissociation — in 4.4 % of twins. As a whole, multiple gestations “have caused” 10.2 % of cumulative perinatal losses. Thus, intrauterine infection and hypoxia of a fetus have got greatest distribution. We consider it necesssary to carry out multi-center researches to put the existing clinical data in order, to develop precise algorithms of conducting gestation and labors in women with multiple pregnancy and improve the used techniques.
