Problems in activity of health protection as compared to international experience are reflected in the article. It is specified, that success of reorganization and development processes of the Ukrainian system of health protection depends on the use in practice of adequate and effective mechanisms of government control by the brunch, many of which have not been legislatively examined yet from the ideological positions.
For creation of the capable system of health protection every region with taking into account local features and specificity must develop the decisions on the problems of health of population, considering new social-economic terms of the country and brunch development. In its turn it strengthens a responsibility for the single health care system functioning at all levels.
