FUNCTIONAL ABNORMALITY OF THE URINARY BLADDER AND MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES OF THE EPITHELIAL LAYER IN PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC CYSTITIS

Functional abnormality of the urinary bladder and morphological changes of the epithelial layer were studied in 48 women at the age of from 22 to 54 years with chronic cystitis, steady disuria and chronic pelvic pain syndrome. On the basis of the conducted researches it is confirmed, that the chronic inflammatory process of the urinary bladder is the starting factor of pathological changes of a circulation in the detrusor and morphological infringements of the epithelial layer with planocellular metaplasia development (38.4% of the patients), focal atrophy of the mucosa (55%) and focal leucokeratosis (16.6%), which leads to the urine bladder accumulating and excretory function disorders.
