Investigation of the status of lipid peroxidation (LP) and antioxidant system (AOS) in 238 men with chronic heart failure (CHF) due to ischemic heart disease and arterial hypertension revealed that patients aged 46–59 had a tendency of increasing concentration of lipid hydroperoxides (LHP), uncertain decreasing of malonic dialdegyde (MDA) due to intensified activity of AOS, it’s fermentative and non-fermentative links. In patients aged 65–85 with CHF the oppression LP and sharp exhausting of all the links of AOS were revealed.
