EFFECT OF INHIBITORS SGLT-2 ON THE LEVEL OF NT-PROBNP IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES WITH DIASTOLIC LEFT VENTRICULAR DYSFUNCTION

The aim of the study was to study the diastolic function of the left ventricle and the effect of hypoglycemic drugs of the group inhibitors SGLT-2 on the course of heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Materials and methods. In the course of the study, 20 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were examined. Doppler echocardiography was performed to evaluate the function of the left ventricle. To study the function of the endothelium, endothelium-dependent relaxation was determined using the Celermajer-Sorensen’s test and the level of endothelium-1 in serum. To assess heart failure, the level of NT-proBNP was performed before and after the addition of the iSGLT2 (dapagliflozin) group to the previously prescribed hypoglycemic therapy.

Results. During the follow-up period, a significant decreasing of NT-proBNP level was obtained after dapagliflozin preprescribtion.
