FATTY ACIDS SPECTRUM OF SERUM LIPIDS in LIQUIDATORS OF THE ChNPP ACCIDENT CONSEQUENCES, SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC BRONCHITIS

It is established that fatty acids spectrum of serum lipids in liquidators of the ChNPP accident consequences, suffering from chronic bronchitis, differed from that in healthy persons. The former demonstrated lowered levels of both stearic (C18:0) and oleic (C18:1) fatty acids and elevated levels of linoleic (C18:2) and arachidonic (C208:4) fatty acids. It should be noted that linolinoic (C18:3) and eicosotrienic (C20:3) fatty acids made their appearance. The changes in fatty-acid spectrum could be explained by their participation in the lipid peroxidation processes.
