DESCRIPTION OF POLYNEURITIC DISORDERS IN SOME EXOGENIC CHRONIC INTOXICATIONS

The aim of the investigation was to determine the clinical manifestations, electrophysiological parameters and thermal imaging references in 58 patients with polyneuropathy after some intoxications: alcoholic, toxicomaniac and poisoning of heavy metals. We investigated motor and sensor fiber of the ulnar, median, peroneal and tibial nerves on a distal segments of the extremities at the level of forearm and leg, respectively, and carry out the needle electromyography and clinical examination. In about 60 % of patients it was defined axonal defeat of the peripheral nerves with the reduction of motor conduction velocities, about 40 % — mixed forms (axonomyelopathies) with the reduction of the amplitude of M-wave and MCV.
