Short-sightedness associations search as a marker of increased academic intelligence is done. There are no differences in short-sightedness incidence among males and females which represent academic youth of the East Ukraine populations. In males there is more shortsighted individuals among schoolchildren, in females — among students. Short-sightedness among academic youth is not associated with study motivation. In general IQ level does not differ among short-sighted and health people.
