MODERN APPROACHES TO DIAGNOSiS OF SEPSIS IN CHILDREN OF THE FIRST YEAR OF LIFE

At the background of the complex clinical and paraclinical investigation of 48 patients of the first year of life, the diagnostic value of clinical and paraclinical indices in order to diagnose the generalized bacterial infections were evaluated. It was mentioned that any clinical or paraclinical indices could not be used as a single diagnostic test of the generalized bacterial infection due to falsepositive and falsenegative results. At the same time the diagnostic pair was the most informative one: increased level (>17 %) at spontaneous NBT-test of blood neutrophils and C-reactive protein level >10 mg/l in the blood.
