In the article there is a brief description of the basic stages in the establishment of the anaesthetic and intensive care services in Odessa and in the Regional Clinical Hospital in particular, a presentation of history of foundation and development of the department of anaesthesiology and intensive care in the Odessa State Medical University, and a general trend in the functioning of the department of anaesthesiology and intensive care of the ORCH.
