COMPARATIVE STUDY OF INJURY CAUSING BY LAPAROSCOPIC AND LAPAROTOMIC INTERVENTIONS ON BILE DUCTS DURING CHOLEDOCHOLITHIASIS TREATMENT

Advanced experience in laparoscopic surgery for choledocholithiasis allowed us to compare their results with open surgery. From 1998 till 2007, 436 patients had laparoscopic surgery. Thus, additional open surgery haven’t been used for these patients. The complications of open (n=238) and laparoscopic operations (n=198) were compared. After the studying of stress hormones serum levels, the laparoscopic surgery proved to be less invasive than open one.
