THE INFLUENCE OF CITRUS EXTRACTS ON THE INFLAMMATORY PROCESS IN PERIODONTIUM AT THE EXPERIMENTAL PERIODONTITIS

At the gum of rats at the simulation of peroxide periodontitis the increase of the level of inflammation markers were found: the concentration of malonic dialdehyde, the general proteolytic activity, the activity of acid phosphatase and the contents of soluble proteins (SP). The rinsing of rats’ oral cavity with the extracts of the citrus peels (orange, mandarin, grapefruit) resulted in the complete normalization of the level of markers of inflammation, except the contents of SP.
