IMPORTANCE OF THE DETERMINATION OF ASYMMETRIC DIMETHYLARGININE OF CHRONIC RENAL DISEASE IN CHILDREN

In order to study the asymmetric dimethylarginine presence in the blood plasma and its possible influence on the renal diseases course there were examined 80 children suffering from different acute and chronic diseases.

50 children suffering from acute and chronic glomerulonephritis made up the main group, and 30 children formed the control group. In blood plasma there were also studied the levels of asymmetric dimethylarginine, NO (according to concentration of nitrites and nitrates), S-nitrozothyole, L-arginine, general phospholipids; the functional renal condition was studied according to glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and atherogenic factor. The increasing of asymmetric dimethylarginine level as well as asymmetric dimethylarginine possible involvement to chronic renal disease progressing in children are revealed.
