CHOICE OF COMPLEX THERAPY OF EXUDATIVE OTITIS MEDIA IN CHILDREN

The article analyzed and developed a comprehensive approach to the treatment of exudative otitis media (EOM). EOM is one of the most difficult diseases in the practice of child otology. The disease is caused by inflammation in the tympanic cavity, flowing from the breach of the auditory tube drainage. There is a direct functional relationship expressed by an exponent of hearing loss and treatment outcomes, which allowed us to determine the effectiveness of different treatment schemes. Regression analysis showed significant linear and nonlinear binary regression model. Patients with EDF in hearing loss between 26 and 54.7 dB can be successfully used combined therapy that includes surgery (from 26 to 43.5 dB).
