ORGANIZATION OF EMERGENCY SURGICAL CARE FOR TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS WITH ACUTE ABDOMINAL PATHOLOGY

Proportion of human immunodeficiency virus infection (HIV) among tuberculosis (TB) patients is increasing (14.8% in 2005, 24.6% in 2009). Among the 83 TB patients operated on an acute surgical abdomen pathology, HIV detected in 49 patients (59.0%). Organization of care for TB patients with acute surgical pathology in a specialized TB clinic optimize the commencement of antituberculosis chemotherapy, eliminates the need to transport a patient in the postoperative period in a specialized TB hospital, reduces the risk of tuberculosis infection.
