ROLE OF INTERLEUKINS IN MECHANISMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF CERBROVASCULAR DESEASES

Biochemical and functional organization of cytokine system, especially interleukins (IL-1, IL-2) was studied. Importance of interleukins (ILs) effects in developing and regulation of physiological and pathological processes of organism as a whole and, especially, of brain tissue was analyzed. There were examined the questions of ILs activity in formation of different links of pathogenic neurodestructive changes in the post-stroke period, mainly connection of different levels of ILs with degree of pathobiochemical changes in brains tissue and severity of clinical manifestations in patients suffering from cerebrovascular deseases. A special attention is paid to the analysis of post-stroke period, the relationship of ILs functioning and development of ischemia/hypoxia, inflammation and activity of necrosis/apoptosis processes.
