PECULIARITIES OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE LOCALLY APPLIED GEL “APIDENT” ON FACTORS OF ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTIOXIDANT PROTECTION OF THE ORAL FLUID IN DENTAL IMPLANTATION

Urgency. Despite considerable progress in dental implantology, the issues related to the development of inflammatory complications in the tissues adjacent to the implants are of importance. A special attention is paid to search and development of preventive measures and treatment of the inflammatory process in the postoperative period after dental implantation.

The purpose of the study. To study the influence of the locally applied gel “Apident” on factors of antimicrobial and antioxidant protection of the oral fluid in the early postoperative period after dental implantation.

Materials and methods. There were examined 28 patients aged from 28 to 66 who were performed setting of the dental, intraosseous implants. The basic group of patients along with general therapy locally used the gel “Apident” as applications; in the comparison group the treatment was given by traditional methods. There was made the analysis of clinical, biochemical studies of the antimicrobial and antioxidant protection of the oral fluid in all patients during treatment.

Conclusions.

1. Local application of the new gel “Apident” in surgical interventions during dental implantation allows to decrease or prevent the development of inflammatory complications.

2. The developed method of prevention and treatment of the inflammatory processes in dental implantation influences favorably on the course of the wound process promoting healing and normalization of the hygienic state of the oral cavity.

3. The application of the gel “Apident” decreases the degree of inflammation and dysbiosis in the oral cavity and increases nonspecific reactivity at the expense of activity of the antioxidant protection enzymes.

4. The results of the study give grounds to recommend local application of the gel “Apident” for prevention of the destructive-inflammatory processes in dental implantation.
