CHANGES IN STRUCTURE OF MORBIDITY OF PATIENTS WITH HIV-INFECTION/AIDS ON THE BACKGROUND OF SPREADING HIGH-ACTIVE ANTIRETROVIRAL THERAPY

Analysing data, it is possible to underline that in our region the research concerning HIV-infection and AIDS, will remain actual for a long time, taking into account that the tempos of HIV-infection spread in the Odessa region due to its geographical and economic position is still the highest. Number of people with the first diagnosed AIDS in the Odessa region by the end of 2012 year was 48.9 in 100 thousand of population.

One should notice that as compared with 2000 year when 201,914 observations were conducted in the Odessa region there were revealed 2,703 (1.34%) positive results, in 2012 positive results were 3,202 (2.07%) of 154,672 conducted observations. On avarage in Ukraine from 3,246,537 conducted observations there were revealed 31,921 (0.98%) positive ones. The above-mentioned facts explaine importance of one more problem — to cover the greater number of HIV-positive patients with deep immune supression with high-active antiretroviral therapy (HAAT).

Results:

1. HIV-infection morbidity in the Odessa region remains at the high level.

2. To cover all the patients who need HAAT by medical treatment results means to decline lethality among patients at the in-patients stage of medical treatment.

3. Introduction of antiretroviral therapy results in decrease in complicated forms of candidiasis, pneumonia, pleurisy, CNS defeats, exhaustion, anaemia in discharged patients.

4. Group of lethality are patients who were not indicated HAAT, which reflects the high level of spread in this group of candidiasis, tuberculosis, anaemia, exhaustion.
