COMPLICATIONS AFTER TOTAL REPAIR OF FALLOT’S TETRALOGY IN THE LATE FOLLOW-UP

An analysis of complications of the late follow-up after total repair of Fallot’s tetralogy has been given in this article. The follow-up was up to 11 years after operation. There have been shown that mean 11-year-survival was (92.5±1.1) %. The main per cent of mortality was in the period between 3 and 5 years as well as from 8 to 10 years of follow-up. In the first period the mortality was due to cardiac cause (rhythm disturbances or cardiac failure). The most unfavourable period, related with symptomatic dilatation of right ventricle was the period between 3 and 6 years after total repair of FT.
