Perioperative hypertension is associated with significant perioperative morbility. The results of this study help the doctor to make appropriate recommendations aimed at lowering the immediate perioperative risk as well as assessing the need for subsequent treatment and diagnostic measures. Successful perioperative management of high-risk cardiac patients requires communication between surgeon and the internist, cardiologist.
