622 histories of patients with combined craniothoracal trauma who were treated in polytrauma department of the Kharkov emergency hospital during 1994–2002 were analyzed. It was shown that combined craniothoracal trauma is one of the most frequent combined craniocerebral injury and it demands special attention of surgeons, neurosurgeons and reanimatologists.
