The existence of epilepsy clinical forms great number, pathogenesis complexity and a variety of structural changes in the nervous system at the given disease has resulted in development of its surgical treatment multitude various methods (resection, stereotaxic ect.).The indications to application of one or another surgical treatment method with the account of etiologic factors, clinic, patogenesis of the disease and morpho-functional changes developing in the nervous system are formulated in the article.
