The purpose of the work was the selection of optimum working modes of CO2 laser “ULTRAPULSE-5000” at various operations in plastic and cosmetic surgery. During the period from 2001 to 2003 years we operated 132 patients. The choice of modes of laser radiation and forms of patterns depend on a kind of pathology. As a result of the carried out research of CO2 laser application in plastic surgery it was marked: excellent intraoperative hemostasis, opportunity of exact layer-by-layer evaporation of tissues, minimally expressed afteroperative pain syndrome, twice reduction of intra- and afteroperative complications, relapses by 95 %, terms of afteroperative treatment by 2–3 days.
