The author has presented the results of a study of the effect of the tincture from the Potentilla tormentilla rhizome (TPTR) (1:5) administered intrаgastrically during 21 days in a dose of 0,05 and 0,1 ml per 100 g of the body weight on the biochemical parameters of rats’ liver. The introduction of TPTR during 7 days did not exert an effect on the rat blood parameters under study (the content of glucose, urea, albumin, cholesterol). A decrease of the concentration of the total blood plasma cholesterol and of the concentration of glucose, after a 21-day administration of the tincture are indicative of a negative effect of prolonged TPTR application on the liver functional parameters under study.
