17 patients were examined due to clinical ineffectiveness of their antimicrobial therapy and inclusion of ceftazidim (orsid) in their treatment. In three days after initiation of ceftazidim treatment (in combination with amicacyn and fluconazol) decrease of leucocytes level by 32 % and normotermia in comparison with the previous values, leucocytic intoxication index — by 30%, index of neutroifilous shift by 25 % with normal level alaninaminotransferase, urine and creatinine. The use of ceftazidim (orsid) in complex therapy of children of junior age, with the clinical signs of septic process, allowed us to get a positive clinical effect in absence of signs of preparation toxic action on the organism.
