Clinical features of discircular encephalopathy, caused by occlusive and stenotic affection of the major cephalic arteries and arterial hypertension are discussed. 112 patients were examined. There were learnt the influence of the risk factors, premorbidal individual features, social statement, education level on the course of the disease. The analysis of the data of neuropsychological and neurological investigation revealed the major syndromes of cognitive and motor disorders, which degree of manifestation determines phases of the disease course.
