Major advances in proteomics are associated with the discovery of new biomarkers for prediction of clinical response to anti-tumor therapy. We conducted a retrospective search for potential biomarkers of breast cancer (BC), based on literature data. It is proved the feasibility of further studies of human proteome and signaling pathways associated with the development, recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer to improve diagnosis and treatment monitoring of breast cancer.
