The rapid development of medical technologies contributed to extensive knowledge pertaining to pathogenetic mechanisms of development and clinical manifestation of gastroesophageal reflux disease. Тhe latter, in its turn, led to revision of the diagnostic value of individual symptoms that are verified in patients with this nosology. A retrospective analysis made it possible to approach an evaluation more substantially of both the main and “extraesophageal” manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux.
