The activity of the obstetrical and gynaecological service of the Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital within 25-year period has been analysed. The main historical periods of its development were highlighted. The role of separate specialists in the improvement of medical aid rendering to women of the Odessa region is shown. We also speak about the scientific directions which were elaborated and introduces in the obstetrics and gynaecology practice. Annual increasing in laborrate, stable indices of perinatal mortality as well as the efficiency of the Center of Emergency Obstetrics and Gynaecology Care at the morden stage of the department were demonstrated.
