The article concerns the problem of interrelation of the human papilloma virus (HPV) and cervical cancer (CC). HPV is now a leading course of the pretumour pathology and CC. The article presents the basic aspects of papilloma virus infection epidemiology, HPV-associated diseases. A comparative analysis of modern methods of HPV diagnosis and prevention was carried out.
