The article presents the modern methods of operative medical treatment of diseases of the thorax with the usage of videothoracoscopic technique in 2,064 patients. The method of performing different videothoracoscopic interferences both under the local and general anaesthesia is described in details. The special attention is payed to such interferences depending on the type of pathology, and also features of their anaesthetic providing. Advantages of endoscopic operations over the traditional open operations on the thoracic organs are indicated. Lethality after endoscopic operations made up 0.05%.
