The review is devoted to the problem of the optimizing algorithms and treatment of chronic endometritis among females of fertile age. There were analysed the literature sources for 2003–2009. Diagnostic algorithm should include the investigations of vaginal, cervical and endometrial microecology, morphological investigation of endometrial tissue with the use of immunohistochemical method of the assessment of receptors for sexual hormones and metaloproteinases 2 and 9. When selecting the scheme of the treatment it is necessary to prefer the complex therapy with ethiotropic and immunomodulating medications including the interferon inductors.
