Information about history of international activity at the Odessa State Medical University since 1946 has been presented. Peculiarities of selection of foreign citizens for education at the OSMU are discussed. The article includes materials on the OSMU work at international universities associations and collaboration with leading educational and research centers. Results of international grants, programmes and projects has been presented. The role of leading researchers — Doctors Honoris Causa of the OSMU — is discussed.
