The medical help to the population of Odessa, Odessa region and other regions of Ukraine is conducted today by more than 530 workers of the Odessa State Medical University, among them 1 academician of the NAMS of Ukraine, 4 fellows of the NAMS of Ukraine, 55 professors and medical doctors, more than 270 docents and professor assistants. The medical work is carried out at 41 departments of the OSMU, the clinical bases of which are 64 hospitals of Odessa, Odessa region and Nikolayev. A great deal of medical and diagnostic work promotes both the quality and efficiency of health care and highly professional training of young doctors.
